Increasing transparency in Arizona through public records research

Here are the Kyrsten Sinema “homewrecker” files you’ve been looking for

It’s not just a data center Kyrsten Sinema has been accused of ruining. Now it’s a marriage, too.

A North Carolina woman (the ex-wife of Sinema’s former bodyguard) recently filed a lawsuit under the state’s “homewrecker” law that accuses her of destroying their “good and loving marriage.”

I obtained the records from Moore County Superior Court and U.S. District Court — you wonder if Sinema removing the case to federal court triggered someone’s PACER alerts in a case that otherwise would have gone unnoticed, but I guess we’ll never know — and boy are there a lot of details. Dates of luxurious trips overseas, sexual text messages, you name it.

I’ll add the standard disclaimer here: Anyone can file a lawsuit, and this one doesn’t include any concrete “receipts” (at least not yet). Sometimes that means the allegations aren’t real. But sometimes the specificity is a warning shot.

Now, this blog is way too high-brow and sophisticated to comment on such lascivious rumors, especially involving our favorite former U.S. senator … just not enough to avoid making each docket interactive and available to our readers.

I made a few light redactions for privacy reasons and will update the blog post with new filings as they come in. Happy reading.
